About Solar Panel Grants For Businesses

What we do
We exist to solve one specific problem: UK businesses considering commercial solar are routinely under-informed about the funding landscape. Installer sales teams have a structural incentive to push hardware specifications and gloss over the grant, tax and finance combinations that determine whether a project actually pays back. Brokers and finance intermediaries push the financial products that pay them the most commission. Pure-play independent advisors — the kind common in residential financial advice — barely exist for commercial solar in the UK.
Our service fills that gap. We maintain a directory of every active UK solar grant, tax relief, export tariff, regional scheme and finance product. We map each scheme against your sector, size and postcode. We tell you which schemes you genuinely qualify for, which combination produces the best post-tax economics, and what to expect from typical 2026 capex and payback maths. We do not sell solar panels. We do not earn commission on hardware. We do not push the products that pay us the most.
If — and only if — you decide to proceed with a project, we can introduce you to MCS-accredited installer partners with proven sector experience. Our commercial model is a flat referral fee from the installer, agreed in advance and identical across our partner network. You see the fee structure in writing before any installer introduction.
Editorial policy
- Independence. We do not take commission from panel, inverter or battery manufacturers. We do not have a preferred installer relationship that determines our recommendations. Our installer panel is selected on sector experience and customer satisfaction — not commercial preference.
- Sourcing. Every scheme on this site is documented with a primary regulatory or governmental source (gov.uk, ofgem.gov.uk, devolved administration, combined authority, scheme administrator). We do not republish content from secondary sources without re-verifying.
- Date-stamping. All scheme pages carry an "Updated [month year]" stamp. SEG tariff rates and funding round windows are re-checked monthly. Major regulatory changes are reflected in real-time.
- Honest economics. Worked examples on this site use conservative self-consumption assumptions (50-75% for typical commercial loads), realistic SEG floor rates, and current Tier 1 panel pricing. We do not use the optimistic "best case" numbers installer marketing uses to inflate apparent payback.
- Conflict disclosure. Where we have a commercial relationship with a scheme administrator or installer, we disclose it on the relevant page.
- No fabricated reviews. Customer testimonials on this site are real, attributable customers (where consent is given) or clearly anonymised composite case studies. We never fabricate testimonials or use stock photography presented as customers.

- Not a grant application service. For complex grant applications (IETF, PSDS, large regional grants), we make introductions to specialist grant writers. The application itself is done by you or a specialist consultant — not by us.
- Not a buying group or cooperative. Our installer introductions are individual matches, not aggregated buying.
